MUSICIANS FOR DEMOCRACY

For 99 cents, you can help preserve our democracy

Howie-2ABCD.jpg

In 2019, six Boston-area musicians donated their time and talents to a project called Musicians for Democracy. They recorded two songs – Lies, Lies, Lies and You Can't Fool Me – that called out former President Trump for his assault on democracy, a free press and the environment (among his many other transgressions).

Singer-songwriter Howie Newman organized Musicians for Democracy with the goals of 1) raising awareness of the threat to our freedom and democratic principles, and 2) supporting candidates who uphold these ideals.
