MUSICAL BASEBALL SHOW
For senior centers, libraries and other groups, I offer a special baseball show, which includes baseball songs, baseball trivia and stories about my days as a sportswriter on the Red Sox beat. For additional information, click here.

KNOCK ON WOOD, acoustic duo

For this act, I am accompanied by a musical partner who plays fiddle, mandolin and sings backup vocals. We perform at many senior centers in the greater Boston area and play the songs listed below.

It's a very lively show that features excellent musicianship and pleasing vocal harmonies. Below are some videos from a senior center concert.

MUSIC FOR SENIORS

Senior centers
Assisted living communities
Memory care units, memory cafes
Senior citizens groups
Nursing homes

I play many shows for senior centers and other senior groups in the greater Boston area. My repertoire includes well-known songs from the 1960s and earlier.

I also have extensive experience with memory care units, memory
cafes and Alzheimer's programs. Click
here for references.

Based on feedback from my audiences, I'm constantly adding new material and fine-tuning the presentation (see song list below).

Here's where I've played.

I do a one-hour show and provide my own sound system. I'll also send you a
color poster to help you promote the show.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM
Howie Newman performs classic songs from yesteryear, including
standards, show tunes and material from artists like Frank Sinatra, the Beatles, Dean Martin, Elvis Presley, Neil Diamond and many others.

It's a sing-along, toe-tapping musical journey from the early 1900s up through the 1970s. Howie also adds trivia, background stories about the songs and a little G-rated humor here and there.
