Howie Newman
MUSIC, COMEDY and MORE
Schedule of upcoming 2022 baseball shows is below
My musical baseball shows are usually scheduled
around the season opener in April but can be held
any time of year.
I sing baseball songs, do baseball trivia and tell
stories about my days as a sportswriter on the Red
Sox beat. I covered baseball for the Boston Globe,
Lowell Sun, Patriot Ledger and Associated Press.
I'll also tell you all about my Dump the DH campaign, which landed my bumper sticker in the Baseball Hall
of Fame and my photo in Sports Illustrated.
Not only that but for three years, I provided color commentary for the Lowell Spinners, a Red Sox farm team, on WCAP radio.
I also have a display of some personal baseball memorabilia and a free raffle for a baseball CD.
Baseball's Greatest Hits
Volume 1

Baseball's Greatest Hits
Volume 2

Both of these CDs have been accepted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame Archive.
It’s a very unique, interactive and highly entertaining program. We’ll talk baseball, do some trivia and just have fun.
If people have questions about the Red Sox and what it’s like to cover the team, I’ll be happy to answer them.
PROMOTION
Upon request, I will send out press releases and photos to help promote the event.
